Poem for October

Do you hear October whispering through the trees? 

Do you see the month’s hues? Feel the autumn breeze? 

Autumn is a time for change, a time to slow.

It’s time to let summer’s busyness go.

The acorns fall, the ground grows still. 

Through quiet moments, you can sense God’s will.

In hidden soil, new life will start,

While Autumn works upon your heart.

In this new month, we’ll find our ways

Through shortened hours and quiet days.

I challenge you to find rest and peace,

Make time to pause; find sweet release.  

So here we  stand, with open hands,

Trusting the work of God’s great plans.

Let’s walk in faith, let’s walk in grace,

As we seek the beauty of this space.
